Technical data
The TR-TG-2B was made by TRT in 1976 under a SEFT specifications.
It was used by French Special Forces of which the 13ième RDP.
It replaced the Lagier TR-TG-2A model.
This set is made of:
- EM-96, 96A & 96B transmitter
- RR-123B receiver
- AA-51B battery unit
- DQ21B burst coder/decoder
It is packaged in three pouches.
It seems that two models existed which are compared below:
- A well know unit used by French SF :
with all the connections on the right side.
with some modifications on the receiver (lower window) and on the transmitter.
with powered by two 6V batteries AA-46.
- A smaller unit that may be a prototype :
with all the connections on the front.
with the transmitter Xtal protected by a screw cap.
with powered by nine 1.5V AAA type batteries.
Another model exists.
